The hotel was a terrible experience and for sure the worst hotel that i have ever been. Old soviet style with awful furniture. If you like extreme sports you can go out to the balcony... Just make sure to get an insurance first! The bathroom must be copy/paste from Auswitch... Room was not clean and telephone was not working. The breakfast was also a bad experience. Do not stay there even if it the last hotel in Chisinau!

Stayed in Cosmos for 1 night and it was much better than I had expected. The staff was normal an relavely helpful, certainly not unfriendly. Also the barman. The hotel is big and somewhat dark/ shady inside. Really soviet style (hope they keep it like this). The lobby sometimes packed with russians and other eastern Europeans, so is the atmosphere. Had the feeling that later in the evening some prostitutes waited for customers in the hotellobby, but they didn't make contact by themselves. Breakfast is nothing to look out for. Go to the near by bars or buy your own breakfast in the opposite Green Hills Supermarket. Rooms are not large; type 60 style. Shower worked well, as did the TV.

I stayed here 1 night just for "fun". Rooms are worn down but basicly clean. Rooms are small as there is too much furniture in it.
It's OK if you want an ex-sovjetstyle concrete hotel experience. I had a twin room at the 12 floor with balcony. Because it's a very big building only a part of it is actually in use. It is well located next to an ATM and big western style supermarket "Green Hills".
At night you can hear many streetdogs barking so it's better to shut the balcony-door and turn on the airco (not al the rooms have airco; only if it is renovated "eurostyle", this will cost you an equivalent of 10 euro extra).
It's worth the (little) money but only suitable for let's say 3 nights maximum.

I've chosen this hotel as I generally like old soviet style hotels for their unique architecture. This is the reasen I booked one of the old unrefurbished rooms to the back. This was fine and as eastern block as expected. The hotel has a nice general setting and location. But: the staff was as unfriendly and uninterested as it can get – what culminated in the fact that they were not able to give me back the money for the already prepaid nights when I had to leave the hotel earlier due to family loss. I couldnt believe! Never again, next time I stayed at much better Codru in Chisinau.
