I'm traveling very often to Chisinau and I always chose Leogrand! Great place! Located near Stefan Cel Mare street, clean, good WIFI internet, outstanding breakfast (the harp playing during breakfast make you feel like being in heaven), good food at the restaurant, 5 stars quality service and of course, very enthusiastic staff! hardly recommend!!!

I have not actually stayed at Leogrand, just spent an hour or so in their breakfast lounge.
I arrived in Chisinau an early Saturday morning, with my teenage daughter and her friend, after a long and strenuos trip by train from Norway. We walked the area close to mainstreet Stefan cel Mare in search for a place to get some strongly needed breakfast, but nothing had opened yet. We actually passed the hotel once, thinking it looked far too fine for us to enter, considering the state we were in after the long journy. My daughter being a diabetic in urgent need for something to eat, however, we took courage and approached the staffmember outside the entrance.
We were welcomed in with open arms.
Sitting down at our table, in the beautiful surroundings and with the lavish buffet and smiling and friendly staff, -it felt like being in heaven! As if to stress that heavenly feeling, a young woman (a real artist!) entered a small podium an started to play the harp!
We left the hotel with new energy. Thanks for the meal, Leogrand=)!

Second time in Chisinau. I expected more. TV didn't work. Fridge didn't work. And i couldn't get the wifi to work. No more than a three star, and two given the issues. Fair breakfast. However, dinner was fine and their tomato soup was absolutely great, as was a hot sauce/salsa condiment provided with their bread. great little bar/restaurant on the side of the hotel with lots of light. good place for informal business meetings or dinner. in short, public places were fine. perhaps i just had a fluke for issues in the room.

I have been to this hotel several times over the past couple years and think it is a great place. The location is perfect - right in the center of Chisinau and within perfect walking distance to government buildings and offices, as well as tourist sites.

The breakfast buffet is delicious with lots of options and the past two times I have been there they have had a harpist playing. Classy! Dinner here is OK but the service can be very slow. I also like the free Wifi that they have throughout the hotel.

Lastly, this is one of those typical hotels I have seen in this part of the world where the lobby area is splendid and grand but the rooms themselves are a little more shabby. I have absolutely no problem with the rooms, they are just not as elegant as you would expect after seeing the lobby.

Great place, and the breakfast buffet and location can't be beat.
