We stayed in Zagreb for 4 nights at the end of June 2007 before driving to the coast at Opatija. Booked this hotel as we wanted somewhere that we could park the car safely having flown to Rijeka and driven to Zagreb from there. Hotel is only a couple of years old and we stayed in the 'apartment' on the fourth floor. It was clean, comfortable with air conditioning and although it is on a busy road and intersection we were not bothered by the traffic. The downside was that we had expected that as this was classed on the website as an apartment that it would be kitted out with crockery, kettle, cutlery etc - there was no equipment in it. So although we had a fridge and hotplates (which did not seem to be connected) we were unable to make snacks at all. Breakfast was included in the price of the room - the usual continental fare of cheese, cold meats, bread, juice, fruit etc. The location was excellent for getting into Zagreb - it was one tram stop from the bus station and 6 stops to the centre -took about 10 minutes or so by tram to the centre. Zagreb lower and upper towns are very attractive with some beautiful buildings and there was plenty to see.
