We were driving through Zagreb and needed a place to stay that was close to the center with parking. The Staff are polite and speak both English and German. The price was expensive for the quality of the hotel. But it was 5 minute walk to the Gothic Cathedral. The room stunk like cigarettes and felt dirty. We could barely sleep with the noises of the street cars and well to our nightmare BED BUGS! We were covered in a million bites bleeding!! We stayed up hoping maybe breakfast will be better but it was pretty gross. The orange juice was a instant mixture and the coffee had floating bits of milk powder in it.

I definitely do not recommend this place! You can Pay the same amount in a cleaner place!!

All I need to say is that there were nail clipping from the previous guest in the ashtray!

We booked this hotel because we didn't have a lot of choice of hotels in Zagreb. We have chosen this hotel for the good location and the car parking. Unfortunately the hotel had not a private parking, while it was mentioned in the description of the hotel. It was a public parking for the neighbourhood. Some places are for the hotel but always full. Sometimes 3 cars parked on 1 place, like that you can't go away!
The room was dirty, 1 of the lamps was not working, bathroom was very small. We had breakfast in a dirty room, the naps were not clean and at 9am the buffet was almost empty with poor quality products. (orange juice is water mixed with powder)
So the price for this hotel is overvalued for more than 100 euro per night.
When we left, the receptionist was not in a hurry to release our car. The manager treated us with agressiveness: YOU CAN LEAVE NOW!!!! But we couldn't leave because the receptionist had our key of the car. This gave us a bad image of our first contact with Croatia.

Hotel was grossly overpriced. The room smelt of cigarette smoke, the carpet was frayed, dirty and mouldy, paint was peeling off the walls (which were completely bare), the telephone and bedside lamp (a bare light globe) did not work, the room had not been vacuumed for some time, there was a empty water bottle and a used tissue under the bed. The bed base was broken and propped up with a block of wood and the fabric was ripped. The bathroom fittings were broken. The room was noisy with tram traffic outside. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
