Stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms are reasonable and the service is great. Felt that everything was clean and that no hassle in the neighbourhood, which is great.

However, very noisy due to other travellers, woken up a number of times from noise outside the room (had a private double room).

15-20 minute tram ride from town - and easy to get to, being a 5-min walk from the tram terminus.

Would recommend, particularly given the price.

We stayed here in July 2009 so this review is a bit late. But the reason I wanted to write is that when we stayed in Mali Mrak there were bed bugs in all of the three rooms we tried to stay in. I got a really bad rash for two week from their bites and now my friend and I are really traumatised and afraid of staying at hostels or hotels ever again. So I just hope they don't have those bed bugs anymore...?

Then the positive things. The staff was great and really friendly although they couldn't really help us with our problem with the bed bugs. Our rooms were very nice. They also let us wash our laundry for free. That was so nice of them.

I recommend everybody who visits Zagreb to stay there, is a very familiar place and people there is really good. Maybe not so close to the centre, but near are the trams and it's a real good place indeed.

Pretty nice hostel - very nice hostel staff. The location is not real close to the city center, but getting there is not difficult. We did have a lot of trouble finding the hostel, but it was really late when we got in so there was not anyone to ask for help. We stayed in the room for two people with one queen bed. The room was quite small and the bed was not too comfortable, but overall the hostel was perfect for the money. It was really inexpensive and everyone there was really nice. There was a kitchen you could use for free as well as three computers with internet for free. Doing laundry was not very expensive either. The place was very quiet and not loud and crazy like some hostels can be. My only complaints would be the room was really small and it was hard to find upon arrival. I would stay there again though! Great for people on a budget.
