First the hotel is very, very off the center. It took me almost 1h by taxi from the center to the hotel (during evening traffic)

I had a very weird experience with this Hotel ! We have booked reservation, including credit card number in advance via fax ! When I arrived they asked me to pay in advance, what I refused, because it is not common practice to pay in advance. after issuing the room-key I had to go to the next hous, 4th floor to find out the key not working. already stressed back at reception I was informed that it is company policy !! to pay in advance - where I still refused to pay for a service what I actually did not received yet.
The hotel manager was not available !
After some useless discussion with the incompetent reception lady I explicitly was refused to receive a room

RESULT: I had to leave and found a very cozy, friendly and nice hotel directly in the center !

another one of those 3 day no nonsense business trip.. n Silver House helped in all possible ways .. it truly was a memorable trip.. business presentations went really well so i have very pleasant memories from this hotel.. :) .. its if i can say is a lucky mascot for me :).. so lets talk about the hotel.. sofia being a small city so location is not an issue.. this property is not more than 10 minutes away from the city center and with cabs being fairly cheap, its manageable.. staff at the reception was amazingly friendly n were helpful.. hotel has an in house bar and restaurant which has a decent menu.. bfast is complimentary and is pretty satisfactory.. internet too is complimentary.. rooms are a tad bit smaller but beds were comfortable.. bathroom was decently large.. house keeping was very helpful too.. so all in all a good bargain.. there are other star hotels like radisson etc so if budget is not an issue, then opt for that else this one too wont disappoint either..

New hotel, located near the zoo and the business parks in the area. Rooms are of a good size, clean and well equipped.
I didn't experience it but some colleagues where complaining about the noise coming from other rooms. Apparently wall insulation is not good.
The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to help you.
There are no non-smoking areas in the communal areas and restaurants. Specially during breakfast is not pleasant (unless you are a smoker!).
It also has a sauna and a small gym.

Overall the hotel is good.
