From our iniitial e-mail communications with this hotel to our check-out we have nothing but positive comments to make about this place. The staff arranged an airport pick up which went very smoothly. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by one of the several front desk staff (who multi tasked during the week) who made us very welcome and quickly and efficiently checked us in and showed us to our room. We stayed in one of the business class rooms which are very nicely furnished and laid out. Our room was on the 4th floor and if we were being picky, the velux window blinds were not up to black out standards but the beds were comfortable enough. The room was tastefully decorated, well equipped, with a comfortable soft seating area, separate desk and armchair, tv in both areas (limited but adequate English language stations), fridge, safe, tea/coffee facilities. In the bathroom was a nice range of toiletries, this is the only place we've stayed in for a while that gives you both shower gel and bath foam in separate containers. The bathroom was spacious and reasonably well lit. There is a small gym on the top floor with a good range of weights and cardio equipment but we can't comment on how well they worked. Breakfast was a very quiet affair when we stayed, most days it was a buffet with the usual cereals, cold cuts, fruit and hot (just about) items including eggs, sausage and bacon. Some mornings we arrived close to the end of breakfast but the staff were always willing to replenish whatever we asked for. We were impressed with the blistering speed of the free wi-fi internet in our room which checked at over 15 Mbps which allowed us to stream HDTV.
The hotel itself is in a great location, several bars/restaurants within easy walking distance and most of the major tourist sights were walkable too. We would definitely recommend this hotel and if we return to Sofia, we would stay here again.
