we have recently returned from sofia bulgaria having stayed in the les fleurs boutique hotel in the city centre. This is a very nice hotel and all attractions are in walking distance. The first night we went to a restaurant close by (cant remember the name) and the local's were dancing the night away doing the tango, very entertaining, reminded me of s/c/ dancing, All in all we had a good experience in sofia, but please be aware of taxi tout's at the airport ,we were charged about £30, our hotel said we had been overcharged and provided us with a good taxi company that only charged £15 on the way back.

Stayed here for a weekend to explore Sofia. Very warm welcome, with complimentary freshly squeezed orange juice to refresh us after our journey. Check in easy, we were shown to our room and had everything explained to us - curtains draw at the touch of a button - luxury.
Room was quite small but beautifully furnished, everything was very funky and modern. comfy bed and pillows, dressing gowns and slippers provided. Yves Rocher toiletries. Fairly standard mini bar. Very few English tv channels but we weren't there to watch tv.
Bar area pleasant enough for a night cap or quick drink and prices very reasonable.
Only ate breakfast here, no dinners or snacks. It was served to our table, not sure if this is the norm or because there were so few guests that it would have been wasteful to put a buffet out, but there was a good choice on the menu and it was all very fresh and very well presented.
Very central location, situated on the main shoping street and within easy walking distance of all the city's attractions.
Would recommend Happy (a local chain of restaurants) as a place to eat, mixed age range, varied choice on menu, friendly efficient service and a very nice atmosphere. We ate there following a recommendation from our Bulgarian guide and we weren't disappointed. We also ate at an authentic Bulgarian restaurant but sadly I didn't make a note of the name or I would be recommending that too.
All in all a great place to stay and a lovely city to explore.

stayed here in May for two nights. The location is just perfect, on Vitosha Street, the main shopping street in Sofia, you can walk pretty much anywhere in the centre. the staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. The rooms are very modern, clean and beautifully decorated. I loved the flower theme. We got upgraded to a slightly nicer room than we had booked and it was absolutely lovely. The restaurant downstairs also serves delicious food. Recommened.

Very nice hotel, centrally located on main shopping street. Rooms are very modern. Great service. Breakfast choice is somewhat limited.
