New and very clean. Big, comfortable rooms. In quite area, but not very close to the center. When you are travelling by car, there is no problem to get to the city center. If not, it’s not so convenient to visit Sofia. Helpful staff. Good restaurant and breakfast. Free garage for guests. I can absolutely recommend it.

The hotel was clean and the staff very helpful. Very nice food and wine. The room are spacious and very quiet. Highly recommended.

modern hotel - no troubles; but definitely not one of the cheapest

I had to travel to Sofia for the first time this January and found a deal through a well known travel website for a flights and hotel package.

I have spent my working life travelling the world on business and I have always tried to find the "value for money" package based on a hotel where I can get a beer a meal and a good nights sleep without having to exit the hotel after a hard days slog.

Unfortunately the Sofia Vega did not manage to fulfill those requirements the accomodation and service was excellent but the resturant was limited in choice and very expensive. I had naturally assumed that in buying a package at a decent room rate the travel website would have done their homework and checked that the other facilities fell into the heading of a "value package"

To be fair my stay was far from unpleasant I ate in the resturant on the first night intil I googled the exchange rate, I then ate out at lunch time and drank beer and ate club sandwiches in the bar at reasonable prices for the other two nights.

During these difficult economic periods business people will be looking more for the "value package" and that will not include £8 soups and £30 main courses washed down with a £35 bottle of average plonk.
