We were there for a week, in this very small hotel in the city center of Sofia. The hotel is rated 3 stars, but we had the pleasure to enjoy a world-class service. The rooms are old-fashioned, but clean and no bad smell (I am very sensitive). The hotel is quiet, the restaurant underground. Breakfast is disapointing: cold scrambled eggs and sausages. Little choice and everything gone by 10am. The staff at the reception is incredible: they solved all our requests (stamps, money change, handling our numerous messages, telephone switchboard... like perfect assistant secretaries at our disposal). For our business trip, it was really a plus that we could not expect to find in a five-star hotel. The hotel is centrally located, walking distance from restaurants (like the perfect HAPPY GRILL). Even if I'm used to stay in upscale hotels, this refreshing hotel was a success. I would recommand to consider it, despite it's middle-range level.

This hotel is located in a side street but very close to the city centre amenities and transport.
The staff are very pleasant and very helpful. The receptionists all spoke good English.
Our room was large with an excellent bathroom and the supply of toiletries was the most we have ever come across.
We arrived at Sofia airport late at night and had to take ataxi from the taxi rank. Mistake!! We got ripped off and paid 63 leva. The return taxi, booked by the hotel cost 8.60 leva!. Book a taxi via the internet before leaving.
Next door to this hotel is an excellent Bulgarian restaurant. The menu itself is worth the night out!
Generally this hotel is primarily used by business folk.

Good location in the city center. Clean, spacious rooms. The staff was very helpful. They even provided us with free umbrellas in a rainy day. The roooms have internet access, which is however not among the fastest. My only complaint would be about the breakfast, which was rather poor and unimaginative. Otherwise, the restaurant food was ok, although the restaurant staff is a bit apathetic (differently from the other staff in the hotel, which was very helpful). As a whole, I had a very positive experience with the hotel, and would definitely recommend it, especially if you are planning a short stay or a business trip.

wo got a brand new double room with every international middleclass standard you'll find in europe. Modern interor designe in good quality. The location is good. The english speaking stuff is very friendly and very helpful! They helped us with several phone calls to Rumania and in Bulgaria all for free! Thank you very much! The Restaurant in the building just beside serves great local food (even if it is a little to folkloristic styled)
