A good hotel with spacious rooms. The bed was a bit hard for my taste. Everywhere in the hotel there is an odour of smoke, and there is no non-smoking part of the restaurant. You can't get anywhere without taking a Taxi. Taxis are cheap if you get one of the proper ones. If you get the wrong one, they can charge 3.50 Euros /km. The rates are displayed in the windshield. Stay here if your only business is at the expo. Otherwise find something more central.

I spent totally 5 nights in this hotel and compared with other hotels in Sofia it was a little paradise. ;-) The rooms are very clean and silent, the bed and bathroom also. A disadvantage could be that it's not possible to open the windwos, probably for safety reasons.

The staff speaks english (what's not always usual in Bulgaria) und quite friendly. Be aware that you'll need a car or a taxi everytime you leave the hotel direction city or elsewhere. But the taxis are quite cheap (approx. 5 Levas to the city center). If you pay more you're overcharged. ;-) For the airport transfer there's a shuttle bus you'd have to pay extra, but it's fair.

The WiFi internet connection is fast and stable in the rooms also (not only in the lobby like i've seen it in other hotels...). And it's for free.

The breakfast is basic, but ok. The minibar is a little expensive, but where is the minibar cheap...

Hint: When you book the room via hote.com you'll probably have a very good price for the room. Paying with credit card is not a problem.

Being in another 4* hotels in Sofia, I will tell that Expo really does their business on an international level. Also I was extremely happy that my room was perfectly clean, which haven't happened in any other place in Sofia. Only they need to fix the issues with the restaurant billing - I havent used the restaurant but on check out they gave me a bill for 120lv. But the front desk clerk fixed it all. So I definitely recommend the Expo to all of you!
