Arrived by taxi and though "[--] what a hole"
Then walked into reception and thought, "mmmm, this looks OK"
Went to room and was very pleasantly surprised.
I was in room 220 and it had the best pillows of any hotel I’ve stayed at. Bed was also very comfortable.
Breakfast was good, rooms very clean, not much traffic noise so managed to get some sleep.
It is Bulgaria so I don't expect a pleasant smile at reception so I'm never disappointed in the hotel staff.
Right next door to a major supermarket with great take away food. Paid £30 per night and would say that was excellent value for money.
I stayed the night before at the sister hotel in the centre of town and this is better by far

let me begin by saying i am not a complainer BUT
avoid this hotel !!

1 - The maids were SHOUTING in the corridors at 7am for about three hours !! and slamming doors abd banging objects LOUDLY the whole time - it was a bit quieter the next morning after i complained to reception but I have never known anything like it !!

2 - Surly staff on reception - smile and their face would crack i think !

3 - No double beds in any of the standard rooms - they are two twin pushed together so when you are with your partner one of you ends up slipping down the middle - very uncomfotable indeed !

4 - Tried to over charge me on my mini bar bill on checking out - maybe this was an honest mistake and i did get my it adjusted ok in the end !!

Firstable the price is very high for a 4 star ( bulgaria standard ) . The ibis hotel in france ( 2 star and 50 euros ) are more comfortable.

80 euros for foreigner, 40 euros for bulgarian.

the breakfast buffet is very poor.

To avoid . Better go to the rondina or one of the very good 5 stars of Sofia.
