Clean and pleasant rooms, provided you did not have one with the windows at Vasil Levski Blvd (lack of sound proof against intense car traffic). The breakfast is very poor, as well as the coffe they serve at breakfast (ie overcooked). Missing the roomservice and also, the lobby bar is closing very early. However, if you are lucky enough to find the bar opened, you may enjoy an excellent collection of good wiskeys at affordable prices. As a matter of fact, this would be the most attraction at this hotel.

The hotel is situated at the very heart of the city, in close proximity to all important cultural and business sites. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast was also quite good.

This hotel is a great place to stay. Like mentioned in the other reviews, the hotel rooms are spacious, of good quality, the food in the restaurant is very good and the bar has a great selection of whiskeys. Overall, an excellent choice. All the rooms became non-smoking from the 1st of January 2011, which, being a non-smoker, were fantastic news. However, you are still allowed to smoke in the lobby, bar and restaurant areas - which is not that well ventilated - leaving your clothes and hair with a strong smell of smoke should there be smokers there.

Overall, this is a great hotel and would definitely come back here on my next visit.

Downtown Hotel is a very nice place to say. My room was very large, as was the bathroom, and it was on a non-smoking floor, which was very important to me. The bathroom was also very spacious and the amount of storage was amazing. In-room safe provided. The breakfast was plentiful and room service was helpful. Clean hotel, good location, pleasant staff.
