May be because I came in middle of winter, I saw no other guest in the hotel. Most of stuff were chatting in the corner, not caring about service, is this typical Bulgarian hospitality? Place was too sleepy...

Hotel room is old fashioned, somehow un-matching sofa and interior decoration. I reckon this place was famous 40 years ago...but certainly not anymore.

I tried restaurant downstairs as there was no other alternative. Price is good, but you get what you pay for, do not expect 5 star food here, just an ordinary food.

The hotel is beautiful but they're in a budget crunch because the owners are building another hotel so it's not great right now. There aren't many toiletries (no bath soap, no toothpaste, no cotton swabs, no lotion etc..) and my 2nd bathrobe wasn't laundered. There aren't enough house cleaner so they're rushing the cleaning and I had red dots all over my toilet seat I had to clean myself. The hotel is 5 star but the rooms / cleaning is 3-4 star right now. They even cut out Sheraton pens because of the cuts so we got.a.no-name...pencil on our desk. The tv doesn't have good channels but the room services is great and engaging so at least that is still running full.

I visit Sofia Last September pass by Instabul for Business.I stayed at Sheraton Hotel third time.I choose always this Hotel because all staff are very friendly,they are so proffesional from reception,bar,room service,concierge,restaurant.......just perfect.The only thing that I didnt like was that The Pilska restaurant wasnt open.The rooms very comfortable,the Breakfast nice.
I always propose Sheraton Balkan to all my customers and friens in Greece whenever they will travell to Sofia to stay in... Thank you for your hospitality.Stratos Greece

First of all I booked this hotel because it is in the city centre and I was always satisfied with Sheraton brand.
And I can say, I will book it again, in case I will be in Sofia overnight.

This hotel is refurbished old building with great atmosphere and smell of history and I like it. Just for example wide light huge corridors....

There are some small things, which can be done better - lifts, air condition control looks like from start of the last century, but this are not the reasons to feel bad about the hotel.

Rooms are very comfortable and staff very friendly and nice.

Breakfest is tasty. Just: cold the butter more, it was too warm and... I would like to have a fresh juices instead of these you have :)
