“2010, Hotel BOSNIA has 4 stars. The hotel is not worth 4 stars”
The hotel is perfectly situated; it is a five minute walk away from the special, multi-cultural, old, authentic city centre.
It is such a pity that there are still so little tourists visiting this city.
This city is definitely worth a city trip!
At the back of the hotel there are (limited) guarded parking spaces available.
The main thing for us was, to have a guarded parking place!!
The hotel has 4 stars but only gets these for its luxurious entrée!
The rooms are good, but are in desperate need of some redecorating. The carpet is stained, lamps are out of order, etc.
Moreover, during our stay in 2009 and 2010 we came across some cockroaches in our room. This is not what you expect for a 4 star hotel.
The mattresses on the beds are quite hard but fine.
What bugged us the most is the smoking.
People and staff smoke everywhere. As soon as you leave your room you smell the smoke. Even your clean towels smell of smoke!!!!
The same goes for breakfast where there are a lot of people smoking around you.
You can’t find a smoke-free area in the hotel. This is not something you normally see nowadays and definitely not what you expect when booking a 4 star hotel.
In addition the breakfast buffet is horrendous!
Coffee and tea are put in kettles where they have cut the cords off.
It’s already starting to get cold and undrinkable at seven o ‘clock in the morning let alone at ten!
Same goes for the fried eggs and the (already cold) boiled eggs, bread and the sandwich fillings! Not only is everything already cold it has been put in a smoky area for over three hours!
In 2009 we had the same experience with the air conditioning, our room was fixed at 25 C, which is to warm for sleeping.
The first time 2009 we were told it could not be changed. The second and third time we asked about the room temperature the desk staff told us it would be fixed right away, but when we returned to our rooms, the thermostats were still fixed at 25 C. In 2010 it was still the same!!
It is safe to say we haven’t eaten in the hotel.
We didn’t no, if it was possible. We saw only big special groups. In the city there are plenty of more attractive and authentic places you can eat.
But we recommended Sarajevo!
