I chose Hotel Palas mainly because of the location. It's about 10 minutes by foot to the hotel from the railway and bus stations (street along bus station, street to the right uphill, follow hotel signs). Hotel rooms are simple but nice and clean. Staff (reception, breakfast room) are very kind and helpful. Shopping mall with a supermarket and a self service restaurant is at very near distance. To go to the city centre you can either take the bus, the tram (which I did) or a taxi. If you want to stay in the centre all of your time, don't book this hotel but if that's not so important to you, I would recommend Hotel Palas! Very nice people and value for money...
