I stayed at this hotel with a friend - we had separate rooms, and my friend left a few days before I did. My father was also in the city on business. At first, the hotel was fine. Rooms were clean, but basic, and staff were friendly. The problems started after my friend left. I was out for the day on a sightseeing trip, came back, went up to my room and opened the door, only to find my stuff missing and the room occupied by strangers. I immediately went down to reception to find out what was going on. After having to hang around for 5 mins to speak to someone, they apologised, had said they needed the room for other guests and had moved me - and my things - without my permission. I was fuming.
On the day of check out, when it was time to pay, the girl at the desk (who was very sweet, to be fair, but utterly incompetent) couldn't get the card to work and suggested I walk half a mile to the nearest ATM. I refused, and *eventually* the girl got the card to work (she'd been putting it in the wrong way round).
There was no discount offered for the inconvenience of switching rooms without my knowledge or permission.
I loved Sarajevo, but would *never* stay at this hotel again and would actively recommend people avoid it.
