We arrived in Sarajevo without any accommodation, we had checked tripadvisor before our trip and had made a list of a few of the places we would like to stay. Hotel Boutique 36 was top of the list due to the overall good reviews they received. We were lucky enough to get a room at the last minute. We booked for one night & ended up staying for two!

Our room was lovely and bright and nicely furnished - it was on the top floor so had the added bonus of skylights. The only down side to being on the top floor is there is no lift! We had a double bed and also a single bed in the room, so would be ideal for a family sharing too. The room was steal at 67 Euros a night including breakfast - which was more than adequate.

The hotel is up a slight hill about 5 minutes walk from the Bascarsija, so is ideally placed for seeing the sights, there is also a tram stop a few minutes away, so for sights which are a bit further away you also well placed.The staff were very helpful & friendly and spoke good English.

It was shame we were leaving Sarajevo for Mostar, as we could have spent longer here. Sarajevo and Hotel Boutique 36 are definitely worth a visit. We can't wait to go back!

I have stayed in this hotel for a family trip in June this year and have been really satisfied. Recently I wanted to return for a night since I had business meeting in the area. I reserved two rooms by phone and confirmed it by phone three days before arrival. I was assured everything is fine. However, after I arrived after eight hours of driving, I was told that there is no rom for me and my business colleague. The reason for this was stated as "the fax machine did not work and they had some other reservations". They have transferred me to a neighbouring hotel, where the level of accommodation and the service was not the same. I was really disappointed with the treatment - especially in the light of the fact I've been there before and have been really happy with the hotel and especially the really helpful and friendly staff. I will think twice before making a reservation at this hotel again!

This is a nice little hotel a few steps from the Bascarsija. The rooms are comfy and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast lacks choice, but otherwise very nice. The hotel's main drawback is that some of the rooms are very noisy as they are next to the street.
