firstable the same family runs an info point downtown: we ended up at the info-point and the guy just proposed his own hostel, which btw was at a good price even if a bit uphill

father pretty disgusting, the son curious and wanted to know every day which were our plans. both very racists

they don't leave the keys, even if they claim there is always somebody at the reception. in 5 days it happened twice that we had to wait more than 30min in front of the door, while we needed to access our room. when we compained (kindly), they forced us to leave immediately

Generally room and bathroom were clean, modern and quite big. Surrounding was quiet so there wasn't any problem in falling asleep. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Only minuses about the room were:
- very cold (fortunately they gave us a heater)
- no quilt (only blanket, they gave 2 because it was cold)
- private bathroom with no washing cabin or something like this (there was only shower and some kind of hole in ground and everything drifted down so for the rest of the day floor in bathroom was wet..., but generally you could survive this).

Disappointed because staff turned out to be dishonest and rude. They told us that lock-out time isn't up-to date and there is always somebody to open the door. It became untruth because there wasn't anybody to open the door at 1 p.m. (during short telephone call they told us they will be in about 2 hours and they disconnected). We were obliged to walk and spend rest of the day with heavy bags (after making final shopping) because we weren't able to leave them in hostel.
We came back later and went to talk with them. They didn't wanted to hear they made wrong and they "proposed" in very impolite way to leave their hostel. They didn't care it was after midnight. And FAT guy from reception office took the floor all the time despite it wasn't his business :D (we had a big laugh after that).

Generally we thought our stay in SORTOUR will be nice and it was until this situation happened.

So - unfortunately - DON'T RECOMMEND!!!

i went there with my friends to celebrate new years eve!
i was so disapointed when i found out where will we be seatled down!
the only good thing is we were close to the center, max 10 min by walk, but every other thing it was a disaster! we were in som basement room, 5 of us! it was too fu***** cold! the toilet was in the other 'bilding so in the midlle of the night we had to go in our pijamas outside to wlak in another building for toilet!! our friend who stayed as well in this hostel, but they got later, they had a 'room' at the top of the other bilding, in some coridor, they didnt even had theyre own doors to lock! disaster! it is cheap because it has nothnig to serve fr you! its 10 euros for night and is still too expensive for a place like that! dont go there!

We stayed for 3 days and the stay was really enjoyable. We had no problems whatsoever either with the owners or with other guests. The hostel really lacks parking space, but the owners agreed to let us park our rented car inside the fenced area with no extra charge. As for the location, it's not right in the very center (about a ten-munite walk up the hill), but it's not a problem. We had a nice private room at the top, so we had a beautiful view of the city and could hear the muezzins calling from the minarets in the morning and in the evening which was extremely nice.
We were really surprised to read these negative reviews here and can say that our experience was quite positive and we have nothing but good impressions of our stay in Sarajevo.
