This is considered the best hotel in Minsk. But, then again, remember it's Minsk. The price was outrageous for what you get. The hallways reminded me of a nursing home. The rooms are large, but not comfortable. A hard bed, hard pillows and a small "school-type" chair (in case you want to get any work done). The carpet in the room had huge stains. The heat is controlled centrally, so the rooms are very warm. You can open the window, but then must deal with the traffic noise. The gym looks like it was an afterthought - just a few cardio machines and a massage chair thrown in a tiny room in the basement. There weren't any towels or water either. Breakfast was ok, but nothing spectacular. But, despite all this, the staff was very pleasant and helpful.

We spent one night in this hotel in early October and very well pleased with our stay. Our room was very large and well equipped with plenty of storage space and a great bathroom.
The hotel appears to have had a very recent renovation and everything was spotless. The two meals we had at the hotel were excellent.
The only slight problem we had was that our room was located beside a storage room and we could hear quiet a bit of noise from the staff as they worked throughout the night. It is not worth complaining about but if you are a light sleeper, you might want to look at the room location. We asked about the use of a computer to check e-mail but were told that the computers were closed.
It was a good stay and I would have liked to spend another night at this hotel.

The hotel is in brand new building, which is centrally located. Everything is new, the property itself,
the furnishings in the rooms etc.
There are not so many modern hotels in the city of Minsk to begin with ,this is one of the very few available there.
The style is simple and non-impressive, but this is ok, unless your are looking for some
high-style grand-dame hotel. ( The entrance is quite grand - at least for Minsk, indeed).
The management is trying very hard to get the service up to the modern standards, and to please foreigners. Ask for for FT or WSJ if you need it there - there are no English papers available for purchase in the shop. And remember, that not everyone there speaks English.

We made the discovery of this precious gem in Minsk . It is situated in the heart of the city, with view of the square, city hall, the cathedral and the Svisloch River . The reception was inviting with an old-world charm that is difficult to find. The people working were elegant, courteous and helpful. The rooms are off a mezanine style hall. What a luxury , our room was. It faced the boulevard, had a balcony and was VERY spacious ! It was luxuriously decorated with high ceilings, chandeliers, antique-like furnishings.The bathroom was also remarkable in its decor and efficiency. The dining room offered excellent meals in a wonderful atmosphere. We thought that we had moved into a ''château''.
