...but we did eat in their restaurant almost every day for a week and did tour their accommodations for future reference. We didn't choose another B&B, we stayed in the home of friends. What we saw; about eight rooms-all were clean, secure and well furnished with modern toilet facilities. We would surely select this as a place to stay if we didn't have nearby friends to stay with.
Why this review? On our first day in Tirana we ate in the Stephen Center Restaurant and found it to be the place to eat in Tirana for a well prepared "western" meal. It's hard to find waffles, pancakes or Eggs Benedict anywhere in European restaurants but the Center has them all and omelets of all sorts as well. This is the place for an authentic hamburger and fries and their array of Mexican and Asian meals is impressive too. Free WiFi and smoke-free too as well as an outdoor terrace when its not too hot; inside is air-conditioned. This is a "have it your way" establishment. If it's on the menu, they'll try to adjust it in any way to make it just right for you. The entire wait staff speaks English very will. No communication problems here although they never quite figured out what a "sunny up" egg was meant to be ;~)
I'll go back repeatedly...
