The Pike Loti hotel is small and quite friendly. It is located off a side street near the cathedral and the Pyramid, and is about 15 minutes' walk to Skanderberg Square. We stayed 2 nights and the location was quite pleasant.
The reception area is small but cosy, with a bar and seating area. The rooms are ok in size, but the stairs leading up to the rooms are very steep and in places the banisters are wobbly, so not a place for those of a certain age. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. They have a bathroom and shower ensuite, although this is a bit strange, as the shower is basically in the bathroom and does not have a separate cubicle, meaning that the water sprays inside the bathroom (there is a plug in the floor for the water to escape). However, this could be unsafe as in our room, the shower water hit the wall in front, which held a light switch for the bathroom lights. Overall, watch out for the electrics in this place, including exposed electircal wires behind TVs etc.
Breakfast was good - toast, boiled eggs, and a good espresso or cappuccino, very well made.
There is an internet cafe next door to the hotel. Be careful to ask the hotel staff for the internet prices, or the net cafe may try to overcharge you!
