I had not been in Tirana for many many years so was a little worried about what to except from moving around, dinning and hotel arrangements. Was directed by some local contact to check out the Vila 3 hotel which was a blessing. The hotel is in extremely accessible location, right across the river from the pyramid. Size wise it's small and i guess only has about 10 rooms or so. There is a magnificent court yard leading from the street to the entrance and that double as a cafe which they do a very good job of making for you. Rooms are very fresh and recently decorated with a contemporary finish. All rooms feature TV ( which i never used ), WiFi and corded high speed and many other necessities. Bathrooms were well done on the same contemporary theme. Rooms were very clean and pleasantly quiet given the location.
Staff is probably the best feature of this hotel. Starting with Adi ( the owner ) all the way to the night guard. They could not be more friendly and accommodating. I really felt amongst friends and yet they are very respectful of your privacy.
There is a restaurant on the first level of the hotel which is being re-visioned into a full fledged higher end boutique by the owner. Honestly i think the restaurant is very good the way it is but they have better plans for it...
Overhaul, my stay at Vila 3 was a delight. I would love to go back there and spend some time at my home away from home and experience their hospitality and enjoy their food and espresso's which they do so good.
