We had been traveling for 9 days, and wanted a quiet, restful place to stay the night before we caught a flight at 0430 to Vienna. We chose this hotel based on location, but would stay there again based on the overall quality of the establishment. The hotel driver picked us up at the airport, handled the luggage, and whisked us away to the hotel, which is very close, but you cannot walk very easily because of the fence. Upon checking in, the young gentleman took us on a tour of the hotel, and up to the roof to view the area. At dinner, this young man, who was also the chef, offered to cook us whatever we wanted if it was not on the menu and if he had the items to prepare. We chose a first pasta dish and a second dish of Vienna Schnitzel. The pasta dishes were amazingly good and the Vienna Schnitzel was excellent. They gave us the Bruschetta appetizer without charge. The entire meal only cost about $31, a great value for a great dining experience. We were the only customers, and were treated like royalty. In the morning, the wake up call was on time, and the same young man took us to the airport. A great hotel, good rooms, and great food. The bus goes to town on a regular basis, and the taxi would probably cost about $20, if you stay there. I would definitely stay here the first and last night of a trip to Tirana.
