“Shangrila in Tahiti”

Just returned from Tahiti. Stayed at Le Meridian. Both my wife and I agree that this is the finest and most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in (married 47 years). If possible, any traveler would be wise to stay at this beautiful resort. The staff were among the most couryteous and helpful I have ever encountered. Always willing to assist and with a smile.
A true coup among hotels.

Room Tip: If possible, request a lagoon view. Other views are not too shabby either.

“Great staff, lovely hotel”

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Le Meridien. The Operations Manager (Nicholas) made sure any time we needed anything, it was organised. They bent over backwards to fit us in to a New Years Eve buffet at the last minute. Things it's lacking however is a business centre, it is a fair way from town and dinner in Papeete will set you back at least 5000 in taxis alone. The restaurants on site are OK but pricey. Other then that, the hotel itself is lovely and the staff helpful and polite.

“Lovely hotel, beautiful location”

Stayed at Le Meridien as part of a group tour for a few nights. The location is beautiful as is the landscaping and ambience. Although on the shore, the beach was not inviting, but the sand bottom pool was. We ate all our meals at the hotel and they were very good. Rooms were large as were bathrooms, which had a full tub, separate shower, and amenities. Rooms have balcony, are air conditioned and well maintained. Tahiti tourism is down, some hotels have even closed, but this one has remained open, despite a low occupancy. Courteous staff.

Room Tip: There are over the water bunglalows as well as main building rooms. In the main building as for a ro...

“Memorable holiday stay”

We stayed three nights here before heading to Bora, Bora and were thrilled with the decor, service and food. We stayed in the hotel, but over the water bungalows are available.
The renovated rooms were modern, but incorporated traditional motifs. Very nice. Very quiet. The staff bent over backwards to meet our needs in a professional manner.
Snorkeling was great, and the sunset breathtaking.
Music at the bar in the evening added to the romance and beauty of the surroundings.
We went on a great tour of the island arranged by the concierge.
Nothing disappointing here - GO!

I am very picky about where to stay. This is a great hotel.
Affordable restaurant next door. And I mean "next door", just walk out of the property and go to the left.

Room Tip: Rent a car at at the airport,
