The Hotel is very well located, the center of the town is a few blocks away only, the staff is very helpful, and it is fairly recent, for that it is good place. But it is not at all a "charming" place to stay, too modern, it doesn't feel that you are in Polynesia unfortunately. Our room #306, was located on Prince Honoi street, and despite the noise reducing windows, it felt like we were (trying) to sleep in the street! Also, coming from the Toamutus where all is open, green, fresh, getting into the Hotel Nui was getting in the dark! It is somber in there, the wood is black, the bathroom opressing.
The restaurant is also very dark, and the Choco Latte lounge too. We planned to stay 3 nights at the end of our trip to enjoy Tahiti, unfortunately it rained a lot and it was a holiday weekend so most of the shops were closed, and we were a bit stuck in town, and in the Hotel unfortunately! So for the location close to the center, Yes, it is a very good hotel (though next to it is a big gas station!), and it is clean, but for the charm...
Restaurant: we didn't try
Breakfast: the pastries were not great, but the bread and the jam were excellent. Morning tea drinkers, be aware that they only have green tea!
They have a Spa, a nice swimming pool, and a fitness room (with nice equipment)
Do not miss the "Roulottes" at the pier from 6:00 PM everyday! That's the place to go for dinner! At "La Roulotte" the Tahitian Fish cooked in coconut milk and lemons is delicious, and the "Honk Kong", the nems are awesome.
Room Tip: Room on Prince Honoi street are extremely noisy, especially during the weekends, and the view is not...
