I stayed here for two nights over the weekend moving from Noveotel Lami as this was smack bang right in the middle Suva town which made it very easy to get around everywhere on foot.

Pros:
- Great staff - staff are a asset to Quest and they make the staying at quest experience so much better.

Cons:
- No views at all
- Feels very castophobic

Quest has nice rooms and it is a nice place to stay if you are here for business they also provide cutlery etc which gives it a nice touch to actually eat of plates in place of takeaway containers.
I didnt feel very secure staying on Level 6 as there was no security process in place from the car park to getting off on level 6. Anyone can come up to the car park and then get a lift down to level 6 at anytime of the day or night as Level 6.
Over the months i have stayed at Novotel Lami and Holiday Inn Suva and i have found the rooms and the hotel environment a lot nicer then Quest. If you wake up and leave early and then come home late and just somewhere ti sleep then Quest is for you. If you are on a holiday and need some relaxation time then go with Holiday Inn or Novotel. Holiday Inn is another hotel in Suva and walking distance to everything. Novotel is a bit cheaper and a 10 min drive to Suva but a lot nicer and cheaper and they include breakfast as well.

If you are in Suva on business - this is the place to stay. Smack down town - in walking distance of everything. I love the self contained kitchen....I found the staff very friendly and helpful. When sending an e mail, always have an answer right away from Joseph. Wanted to change rooms because I love a balcony - no problem. Everything is clean, there are signs which say that the rooms are not services on Sundays, which is fine. Great housekeeping staff as well.
nope, have not found any cockroaches......and I do cook every day....

Excellent service though a bit noisy when we stayed as some inconsiderate guests and visitors down the hall from us but attended to quite well by management and staff. We visited in December 2009 & Jan 2010. Self-contained though it appeared some of the utensils may have been removed by previous guests. We had two adjoining 1 bedroom aprtments which was more then adequate for 1 adult plus two teenagers. 1 one bedroom apartment could easily accomodate 1 adult plus 2 teenagers or 3 adults if management and fire regulations had allowed it. Free parking which is a bonus given its central Suva location and just around the corner from the Catholic Cathedral, Banks and in the same complex and also across from other including duty free shops. and one of the main supermarkets (MHs) stocking imported foods. I would have given this a 5 star rating if they had a good sized swimming pool in the complex - something that is almost a must given its non waterfront or beach location and the humidity.

We had booked this establishment more than six months in advance for a party of two adults and three teenagers. We arrived, and checked in as a group, but when we arrived at the room there was only one double bed. When I went back to reception to enquire I was told that I had only booked for one person! When I made an issue of it the reservation manager, Joseph, was recalled from his home. He too argued that we had only booked for one person, until after repeated requests to get access to my emails resulted in him getting copies of their emails and finally admitting that we had booked for 5. He blamed a previous staff member, and the fact that new management had thrown out the roll-away beds. We were finally offered another room at no charge, but this room had obviously been very recently fumigated as there was a new Rentokil sticker in the kitchen and the smell was overpowering. We were told that this was the only available room.

Having said this, there were some positives. The location of this hotel is sensational. It occupies level 6 and 7 of an office building in central Suva. Everything you could want to see in Suva is easy walking distance and the views from the room were great. Whilst management and reception staff are bizarre the 24 hour a day security staff at the front door are fantastic - super friendly with a sense of humour and they can direct you to restaurants, markets, shops etc. There is a great food court directly across the road.

More downside: TVs have almost no reception, not even any UHT milk in the bar fridge for tea and coffee, just powdered creamer, tired, worn rooms, possibly 21/2 star at best. We have found Suva a difficult place in which to find decent accommodation, but even so the cons won out for us on this one. We cancelled the rest of our stay and moved to the Suva Motor Inn.

PS Several hours after checkout one child found that she had left her new camera in the room . We rang Joseph immediately, but not surprisingly it was not located.
