“Rewarding respite at the Raintree”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

Raintree Lodge, perched above a spring-fed quarry pond surrounded by diverse forests and staffed by beautiful, smiling locals, gives you a chance to breathe deeply in quiet, clean air, while enjoying hot showers, good food and friendly hosts.
There’s a gym I didn’t use, near the pretty little pool I also ignored, because I was there for the forests and the ponds, and of course, the bar. Then again, I am easily entertained. For needier travelers, hop on the two-buck bus to Suva town and wander around the flea market, or the fresh food market, and get some pineapple and popo -- or just pop into Raintree’s bar and cafe for a pool table and beer (Happy Hour, 5-7!).
Good folks, good food, great views. Stop reading reviews and book a dorm or a bure. GO!

Room Tip: Dorm Two, past the pool, benefits from more shade and protection from the occasional road noise. Lod...

“Nice location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

We spent here 1 night during our honeymoon trip just because of its position next to Colo-I-Suva National Park
The entrance of the park is 5 minute walk from the lodge
We stayed in a basic standard room with shared bathroom. we had view to one of the small inland lakes
The rooms were just ok, basic, quite small but ok for the money we spent.
The food at the restaurant was the worse we had during 16 days travelling in Fiji
In general the lodge is located in a great place but i think they should improve more the standards of the rooms and in particular the quality of the food in the restaurant

“unique”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

this place is unique, nothing special about rooms that re easy but clean. the real attraction of this place is the location. you are in the middle of the forset, you could see a lot of animals, and if you like to stay in touch with nature this is the best place! Alse the cuisine was very good. Prices are good if compared to the services, definally a good place to stay in Suva in my opinion

“Raintree Lodge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

the facility is very clean and well-maintained. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. the location is very convenient for Colo-i-Suva park and the grounds are quiet and relaxing. Even the inexpensive rooms in the dorms are very nice. Great value!

“Unique all round accomodation for any traveller a business person in Fiji”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2011

After travelling extensively in Fiji for 4months Im happy to say that raintree lodge has served me very well on three separate occasions. This is a unique accomodation experience a cheap and scenic relatively short taxi or bus ride from Suva city providing an excellent mix of forest retreat style surroundings from buget to medium priced accom with friendly staff excellent range and taste of food with fantastic pizza on Sundays. There is plenty to do here and don t forget to enjoy the forest walks and the beautiful natural rock pools.Having met a whole range of different guests from backpackers to business people families and locals this is a definate must for any serious traveller or person seeking the real Fiji experience. As an experienced traveller I don t hesitate to give Raintree Lodge 5 Stars.

Room Tip: All rooms are fine you can ask for single beds instead of bunks
