Have stayed there for 6 weeks and absolutely loved it. Colonial lodge is more like a home stay to the young travelers like myself. Working in Suva I found it perfect as I felt really comfortable and welcome here. The rooms are not big but clean and cozy offering a nice night sleep. There are several showers with hot and cold running water throughout the house. The food is fantastic as Suzie, the host is a great cook. She is also very nice and caring, becoming like a mother to the groups of volunteers who usually stay here. The location is nice as well as you can pretty much get anywhere central in a five-minute walk. If you are a young person either just passing through Suva on your journey or looking for a place to stay during a volunteering project - this is a place to be!

I really enjoy my stay on colonial lodge, loads of young nice people and really plesent staff, its really near Suva center and we could do everything just by walking.

We still can't figure out how we ended up booking this place. After arriving and spending a short time in the room, we checked out and stayed elsewhere. We have to say, Susie was very understanding and helpful.

Had reserved the self contained unit. Turned up early and paid before room was ready.When room was ready . We found it very smelly, broken filthy mouldy windows when I opened the tatty curtains. We laid on top of the bed to rest and noticed a smell of sweat. On pulling back the bed cover to reveal the dark blue nylon sheets which had not been washed ( skid marks ).We then revealed the absolutely filthy stinking mattress which is where the body odour smell was coming from. We felt sick and left there and then.... Beachhouse was good
