“Very good place to stay”

People were freindly and helpful and accomodating. Room was large, clean and kept up well. Food was very good and the prices were reasonable compared to what we saw in the area. Good selection of drinks and a half price happy hour were definately a crowd pleaser. The beach is nice and the staff keep it clean. The drawback is the road between the beach and the hotel but it was not too busy. We snorkeled a couple of times and the coral on the coral coast is about 95% dead and there was not as abundance of fish although the weather had been very bad so visibility was not good. From what I saw there do not waste your time snorkeling there. If snorkeling is your thing head to the other islands. No swimming as it is too shallow with too much broken coral. Definately a great hotel with a nice pool and a very good beach. The nice King size bed is very comfortable but the centre line has that no support seam feeling. Avoid the center for a good sleep. Massages were great and reasonably priced. Taxis arranged by the hotel were a better price than taxis off the street and you could chjarge the taxi to your room.

“A little piece of Paradise”

My wife and I have just returned from a five night stay at the Bedarra Beach Inn and couldnt be more happy with our experience. From the minute you arrive at the front desk to be serrenaded by a three piece Fijian Band you feel that you are home. The staff are the most friendly I have encountered and couldnt do more to help us.
The rooms are large and very clean with the greatest views. The restaurant has great meals at a very good price and is by far the best eating in the area. The bar is a great meeting place in the afternoons and at happy hour light snacks are provided for free.
Most of the group that we travelled with stayed next door at the larger Outrigger resort and by the end of our stay most of them were sorry that they didnt stay at Bedarra.
So do yourself a favour and book yourself a holiday here.
Any negatives? Yes, that we couldnt have stayed for a few extra nights
Wayne and Vicky Newport (well be back)

Room Tip: second story great views

“Our secret, happy place..........shhhhh........”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

My teenage daughters and I arrived home from Bedarra on January 10th after 12 relaxing, glorious nights. For me this was my 2 nd stay there in 12 months but a first for my daughters and I wasn't sure how they would handle the "pace" or lack there of. But I am here to tell you they revelled in it. Prior to arriving at Bedarra we had a week at one of the larger resorts with many pools, restaurants and endless activities and the girls had a ball and I hardly saw them. But at Bedarra they relaxed more than I think I have ever seen, they engaged with the fabulous staff and the guests and we spent great quality time as a family because at Bedarra you do what there never seems time to do at home - we talked, laughed, played cards, read books, went on long walks, sat at the beach, swam and basically enjoyed each others company. There are no TV's in the room bliss, no phones.....but there is good, cheap wireless Internet and that was handy. The rooms are comfortable and so clean. There are big comfy arm chairs to sit on, great aircon, ceiling fans, big balconies which I sat on every morning for my first cuppa of the day. In our room there was one of those big chilled, bottled water dispensers so you could access fresh cold water all day - it was great. The cafe/restaurant serves a great variety of meals at very reasonable prices and the serves are huge. Vesi and the bar crew make the best cocktails and sitting at Happy Hour and chatting to other guests is a must.

The restaurant staff were so lovely too and after a day remembered how I liked my tea, where I liked to sit etc, small details that made us feel special.

The pool area has been renovated and it is lovely and the small pool has been designed so we can sit in it and read - such a good idea.

The new spa is great too, my daughters and I had a few treatments, but the facial and back massage were truely amazing. Great value too.

Take the time to talk to the staff, get to know them - the boys in the band love it when you sit and talk to them, sing with them etc - they make excellent Kava too.

NB: If you want a hotel where you can stay up all night partying, or where you can do back to back activities the Bedarra is not for you. But if you just want to "be", make your own fun and really relax book now.

Staying at Bedarra is like going to a good friends holiday house at the beach.

All in all a great stay and we will be back.

A huge Thankyou to David, Phil and all the fabulous team. Your hotel is a special place.

“Wins on price and quality!”

This was our second time staying at Bedarra Beach Inn. We stayed there for 9 nights around Christmas 2011. Once again, we had an excellent time. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and cool and gave us everything we needed. Don't expect extravagant decor, but the beds are comfortable, along with comfortable lounge chairs, table setting and outdoor setting. The staff are a highlight of every stay - they are welcoming, friendly and eager to help make our stay enjoyable, relaxing and restful. The hotel is small enough that you come to know the staff and they get to know you, which is lovely.
The hotel is in a picturesque location on the Coral Coast's Sunset Strip, with magnificent views across the lagoon from the restaurant. There is a great in-ground swimming pool set in well-tended gardens with plenty of deckchairs and umbrellas, perfect for reading a book in between swims.
The free hire of snorkelling equipment was great and being able to go across the road to the beach (raked clean of shells and coral daily) to go snorkelling among the coral every morning was a highlight. The lack of telephones and TV added to the sense of truly getting away from it all.
We enjoyed eating at the restaurant at the Bedarra Beach Inn which is renowned along the Coral Coast. They use very good quality produce, such as local seafood, fruit and vegetables in their menu which features Fijian dishes, Fijian-Indian cuisine and Western dishes. If you can, order their chicken or seafood curry. If you ask for it 'hot', you'll get a very authentic Fijian-Indian style curry with complex, spicy flavours. The restaurant also put on a range of special events, such as a 'lovo' (meat, fish and vegetables cooked in an earth oven), a Christmas lunch/dinner and an Indian cuisine night.
We highly recommend the Bedarra Beach Inn and are planning our next visit back there for a relaxing, get away from it all holiday.

Room Tip: The deluxe rooms are quieter as they are away from the bar and reception.
