“Value for money”

Great little hotel in a top location. Staff extremely friendly and polite, most affordable and comfortable. Have been coming to Fiji for the past 10 yrs and always stay at the Warwick, as recent as 2 weeks ago. Decided to look around for something less expensive this trip, checked some reviews on T\A and am glad to say very happy.
On the menu you will find something for all tastes at a very reasonable price, service was good but maybe due to only a small amount of guests in house.
Rooms clean and beds comfortable , housekeeping very good as well. The resort as a whole is looking tired and needs some money spent , but this in no way detracts from the wonderfull holiday\short break you will have here.
I will definitely be back, well done Rupesh and your team.

Room Tip: I choose a room near the pool and bar as the resort was virtually empty, this might be noisy during...

I've been to Crow's Nest in July & October this year and will be going back & having my wedding there in May next year. I love it. Its quiet, simple, in an amazing location, represents excellent value for money & the staff treat you like family. I can't speak highly enough of it. The restaurant serves value for money meals. Drinks are very affordable. There is nothing flash about this place, but to me it is exactly what I want. Peace & quiet, value for money, clean & comfortable and friendly helpful staff. It is across from the gorgeous lagoon where you can snorkel. You can walk along Sunset Strip which is a nice walk as well. It's about 10 mins in to Sigatoka if you feel the need to go in to town. I'd much rather stay here where I feel like family, than in a big resort where you are just a number.

Room Tip: The rooms down the bottom I find the best....nice and quiet and an awesome view.

“Better than the best! Better than Home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

We stayed again at The Crow's Nest in Sept/Oct 2011 after our first trip in Jan '01. This trip was for five weeks in total - 36nights, and we stayed the ENTIRE time at The Crow's Nest!

From our wonderful greeting as returnee's to our sad farewell's at the end of our trip we have never, in over 30+ trips to Fiji, felt more comfortable and at home in a hotel as we have done here.

The Crow's Nest offers very clean rooms which have cooking facilities, ours had a full bathtub/shower, split level accomodation catering for our family with master bed upstairs and single beds downstairs. Ocean views to die for - with just a few second walk to the beach - we were on the grass tier and the lawn was a great spread to play for the kids! Our room was serviced and mopped and sheets changed regularly by friendly housekeeping staff. The little deck out the front was a great place for breakfast - what a view! The wireless internet was a wonderful new feature!

The pool area is great with ocean views again and close to the bar and restaurant. We took our own pool blow up toys and were not inclined to swim elsewhere! The pool water was warm and refreshing and it was not overcrowded like the big resorts can be!

The gardens are kept immaculately! A trophy to the groundskeepers who work so hard and are very proud of their work - deservedly!

The restaurant menu was great and changed regularly - despite there being other restaurants nearby for variety - we never felt the need in FIVE WEEKS to eat elsewhere. The chef, Aklesh was more than accomodating and cooks a wonderful chicken schitzel sandwhich - you will be hard pressed to find one of these in Fiji anywhere else!

The reception was quick to act on any requests and very helpful when needed.

ALL the staff were so very friendly - with us and our children. Everyone greeted us by name and we became friends very quickly - but they still maintained a professional distance at the same time and allowed us our family time and privacy.

I read the review of one of the other people on Trip Advisor stating the walkway was noisy - which is true at certain times, HOWEVER - after having stayed at major resorts in Fiji with hundreds more guests at any one time, I have experienced FAR worse. Where possible the Manager, a charming man, Rupesh, tries to spread the guests out to avoid this issue - when bookings are high - everyone tries to respect other people's space. Try sharing a pool at a major resort and see how crowded and noisy that can be in comparison.

With horse riding on the beach nearby, a short $2fjd drive to Kula Eco Park, local massages, easy to organise baby sitting (and cheap),$7fjd taxi to Sigatoka, plus nearby local shops for basic groceries and so much more, who needs the hussle and bussle of the big resorts OR the expense! The Crow's Nest offers everything and more!

We have already re-booked for next year - and are so impressed with The Crow's Nest - we have booked for six weeks and will not stay elsewhere ever again!

THANK YOU

Room Tip: If you have children - the lower level rooms open straight out to the grass area. You still have a l...

“Value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011

This is a comfortable and affordable holiday option. Nothing flash, but great service, clean rooms, excellent location and value for money. Its dated, but clean. Meals were good, breakfasts were huge and value for money. I only had lunch once and it was a buffet which was basic but nice. Dinner each night was a buffet and again it was basic but enjoyable. The view from the restaurant was divine. The staff were really friendly and extremely helpful. I'm going back again in October.

Room Tip: The executive ocean view rooms were comfortable. Sleep up to 4 people.

“Our NEW home away from home! WE WILL BE BACK!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2011

Having been a regular to the Coral Coast for the past 13 years, we were thrilled with our first trip to The Crow's Nest! AND WE WILL BE BACK.

Normally we would stay in a private house further up the Coast or at the Warwick Hotel. The Warwick is lovely BUT SO SO expensive for a much smaller room - even if more modern - but for the money you would expect it to be.The private house is no longer available so we needed ro find a new BASE STATION = at times we can stay up to a month or more in Fiji in any one trip.

THE CROW'S NEST is divine. OK - it's not a FIVE star resort BUT for a small family or even a larger family it is absolutely perfect AND you don't break the budget either!

The rooms were so comfortable and very clean - serviced every day and great amenities - small bath tub/shower, clean shower curtains, hot water, great little kitchenette, TV, your own porch overlooking the ocean and a wonderful grassy area for the kids to run around on secure away from the roadside.

The pool was small compared to a FIVE STAR *but* it was not as busy as a big resort either - we took our own pool toys - blow up octopus things etc and the kids had a blast as it was much more private - AND super warm!

The restaurant was a bit slow BUT we worked out what we wanted to eat, ordered it and then went for a swim - great family time while our meal cooked, on another occasion we went back to our room and they rang us when it was ready and we went up and ate! Perfect for us as we didn't have to chase our toddler around the restaurant for any of the time - and the meals were absolutely delicious and excellant value for money! The staff could not have been friendlier - greeting us every time by name and becomming part of the family too!

The maintenance staff were also wonderful - normally unseen in the anonymous resorts - my husband had a bad back and was unable to lift any luggage - one of the staff SAYID brought our cases to our room for us - not his job but seemingly his pleasure! The day before we were to leave he offered to return the next day, which was his day off, to assist us again!

The local surrounding area offers other restaurants for variety - which is a superplus as being in a major hotel does not offer that option - also small shops to buy groceries, drinks etc.

Bedarra Resort is up the road and I have stayed there a few times - I firmly believe that The Crow's Nest is a MUCH better stay - with a split level designed room almost making it like a two bedroomed accom. and then the kitchenette with dining table and your own porch!

The manager we met was lovely and the reception staff were helpful!

THIS IS A TOP HOTEL AND WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT - CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN!
