Good on you Kateandwill for supporting my earlier observations. Yes I stayed here late july [read my ealier review], and I can only wonder where these people come from and how much international travel they have experienced
The point needs to be made is if you pay at the lower end of what is available, accept you are not going to receive 5 star facilities. What is provided is clean and the grounds immaculate . As far as value for money the resort is as good or better than comperable priced accomadation, either in Fiji or the rest of the world.A word to the wise, research well before you book,then there should be no surprises, if you dontthen dont complain if it's not what you expected

The hotel is not anywhere near the beach in Nadi as the website leads the reader to believe. There is fenced, private property between the beach and the hotel. In fact, one cannot even see the beach from the hotel. While we were there, the hotel had three other guests. Most all the ground floor rooms were empty and we were put up on the third floor that could only be accessed by a narrow, steep staircase. We had very heavy bags and it was very challenging to negotiate the climb. Our room overlooked the pool, where the three other guests enjoyed boisterious laughter at our expense until 2:00am. Not fun! There is no clock, radio, T.V. or any amenities in the guest rooms. You only get one small bar of soap in the bathroom and two towels.

Pluses: Service was nice. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The meals served at the cafe were very good and tasty.

Minuses: No beach. Lack of amenities in the rooms. Poor noise abatement in the rooms. The hotel is a long way away from the airport and expensive to travel to and from by taxi. Don't be too alarmed when you find the taxi driver taking you over rough dirt tracks through heavy vegetation to get to the hotel.

My family and I stayed at beachside for 4 nights and it was VERY dissapointing. it is located in the middle of nowhere and there were only a few other guests staying here this made us feel very unsfe.The first night we stayed we got very little sleep as the next doors dogs kept barking throughout the night. to much more dissapointment the food was disgusting and overpriced for how much u got and the owners dogs kept trying to scap food!! so for all our meals we walked over to the hotel down the road to eat which was alot nicer. multiple cockroaches ran through our room and the room felt very dirty. the staff service was horrible until the owner came back from newzealand and then the staff suddenly got beter which was very dissapointing.for the next 6 days we stayed in singatoka at geckos and it was extremely beter than beachside.PLEASE do not wreck your holiday by staying here,pay more money and go somewhere nicer !!!!!

Absent owners, and tired disappointed staff did nothing to give this Resort the boost it needs. If we had been first time visitors to Fiji we would have been very disallusioned with "the tropical paradise" and " friendly people" Fiji promotes.
The staff seemed sullen. The food was very poor, [the Fresh Fish tasted like wafer thin slivers of long- frozen cardboard] and cooked to the point of being brittle. Bar staff did know gin from whiskey. Dogs and cat seemed quite at home in dinning area and kitchen. Total lack of atmosphere was compounded by no other guests during the two nights we stayed [we had paid for 6nights but just cut our loses and booked into the next door resort through which we had to cross to even get to the beach].
The room however was clean and quite acceptable for a budget style resort.
My suggestion to the owners is change the name to something like --- The Last Resort or End of The Road Resort, to better reflect the location or survice.
