“Worst Hotel I've Stayed In”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2011

This has to be the worst Hotel I've stayed in. Although it was cheap this Hotel should not be charging more than $50 Fijian dollars for it is worth not a dollar more than that. The rooms are smelly and there is basically no maintenance carried out in any of the rooms. The rooms are smelly and the air-condititioning barely works. There is no iron in the room and the bathrooms taps and doors fall off. This Hotel is definetly a no-no!

“Never again thanks”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2010

While it was quite a cheap stopover before heading home, we wouldn't stay again. There is a stingy-ness about it, right down to having to purchase milk for the tea & coffee in our room. (the kettle cord didn't reach any of the fittings in the room and had to be plugged into the bathroom outlet) The air-con hadn't been cleaned out forever, so our room reeked of cigarette smoke while the aircon was on. It was quite a noisy place to stay and more than a bit grubby. Nope, we'd rather pay a bit more and stay somewhere welcoming, clean and pleasant. Not the Fijian hospitality we had been used to that's for sure!

“Value for Money - sort of”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2010

Well, I stayed here for 5 nights at the end of a my Fiji stay, which involved Oprhanages, Buildings etc, so I am obviously not a 'Luxury Person'. I had to leave the village on the Coral Coast where I was staying, due to an infestation of 'unknowns' which now have me with Golden Staff........ but I digress, So the Capricorn was last minute and I got the price down to F$85 per night for 5 nights, poolside. Rooms were clean as was the pool. The restaurant is a no go but fortunately there are exquisite feederies nearby, Japanese, Indian, Tu's (which has improved again) and the Bounty. A major PLUS is Lin's Beauty Salon, her brother is the BEST masseur (altho I was unable to take advantage due to my sores, but heard this from others) and Lin is great with girly stuff and sooooooooooo well priced. I would say, check in, eat elsewhere , get your beauty stuff done here and enjoy for the price. Oh reception was the pits, sorry, but they were so unhelpful.

“AS BAD AS IT GETS REALLY...”

We had paid upfront for this hotel through a travel package, but then we got there... We're used to staying in budget places, this one was just too much of a dirty hovel. We ended up walking down the road and had to pay again to stay at another hotel..it was that bad. The receptionist was rude, eventhough we were very polite about it & they refused a refund. The Mercure down the road was almost the same price but 5 times better.

“The Owner/Manager is a D....Head has no Manners and Proffessionalism”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 June 2010

As Indian origin, living for 25yrs abroad, and after some many years returning to Fiji for business meetings, I went to this hotel in an evening straight to hotel lobby while waiting for my American college to arrive in another flight from Los Angles, California. I was waiting to receive him at lobby before we can decide the rooms needed will be smoking /or/ nonsmoking etc. before we can check in to rooms. We never had a reservation but called in the reception check in counter and advise the lady at check in counter that I will be waiting for my other college to arrive from airport in 45minutes time and in between I will meet some of my business associates in lobby.

In this between after 20minutes of wait , there this Manager/Owner a Indian Man walks to me and he ask me to live and get the hell out of the hotel, without asking me who I was, what was my purpose of being in his hotel. I was wearing a Hawaiian style island shirt and he must presume that I was a local. He has no manners , his staff are un-professional and the same girl did not had a courtesy to explain to him that I was guest at hotel to check-n and not a street bagger , this hotel management has absolutely NO MANNERS with being Un-professionalism Behavior. There is No security for observation excerpt a gate entry watchman. I was stunt and said to him, you are nuts and you have no idea what you are doing.

This Hotel sucks. Hotel Staff and Employees has no hotel and guest handling experience and training, Typically run by a bunch idiots who does not think from their head brains but from the A…ss .. Ho...les.,. Employees could be same idiot’s families doing the operation of this hotel.

I will never recommend any one to go to this hotel to get embraced by such hotel.

Never recommend any one to be in Capricorn Hotel Nadi, Fiji
