We stayed here for a night between our trips to the outer islands of Fiji and it wasn't a very pleasant experience. The room did not feel secure and we ended up hiding our valuables under the beds (the lock was a little loose), and the doorhandles on the doors were very almost falling off and thus refused to close. Also, there was a thin door separating our room from the adjoining one and we could hear everything going on in the adjacent room - not very pleasant when you're trying to sleep. Our room also happened to be above the staircase and we were woken several times by noisy travellers ascending the stairs. This being said however, if what you are looking for is budget accomodation which compromises comfort and security, this is the place for you.

We needed somewhere to stay for one night either side of our trip to the Yasawas. We had tried to book at the Sandalwood but they were full, so we chose this place.
We had a budget room which was $69 per night. It was VERY basic. Small bed, fridge,fan and private toilet and shower.
The room was generally very run down .The tiles were old and dirty in the bathroom and the towels provided had seen better days. Didn't eat at restaurant so can't comment.
If we had been staying for longer we would have checked out, but for the one night it was adequate. Wouldn't stay again

Before we left for Fiji I read some of the reviews on this site about Wests Motor Inn and it left me feeling a little concerned about what to expect. However, we had the most fun at this hotel. The room which was budget was totally acceptable and the service outstanding along with the food. We enjoyed every minute of our 6 days staying at West's and would totally recommend it to others. When we go back to Fiji we will be staying at West's.

We have stayed at Wests on 3 or 4 occasions and found it very acceptable. A pleasant value for money budget priced Hotel that suits us kiwis particularly. A cionvenient location between the airport and the town.
Sure, it aint perfect as they say - but the front office staff and the cleaning ladies are all bright, efficient and cheerful. Sure the rooms are basic but contain all that we need for 1 - 3 -5 days stay.
The Restaurant has a good range of options but is a bit pricy. Some staff need telling to clear dishes away and provide a dessert menu - and a kiwi breakfats option could be added too. The pool is cleaned daily and a feature of the place. There is a well stocked shop - a tour desk and well priced Internet cafe all available.
Nadi town within walking distance - 30 minutes and McDonalds even closer.
A selection of cafes and restaurants all within 5-10 mintes walk too. Especially one we found called the Murch Masala - great service, great food and great prices. Just a one door hole in the wall cafe with stained tables but we enjoyed the ambiance very much.
Perhaps most frustrating is the need to buy a phone card and ring the hotel to tell them you have arrived at the airport so a van can be sent. Better co-ordination here would be very helpful to new arrivals.
All in all a place we would return to again and would recommend our friends to stay there too.
