Book island acommodation with these guys as so much cheaper. Nice, clean, quiet stay.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on the Queens Birthday long weekend. It's a great area as it's near the beach, some bars such as the one in Smuggler's Cove (just down the road) and a few choices for places to eat. The rooms are basic but quite clean, we didn't hear any noise at night and the owner is very security conscious with a big iron gate that gets locked at night. If you want an ocean view you might prefer to stay closer to the beach, there's a few choices close by.

Small & quiet with a nice play area for children - gardens surround rooms which were nice. Pool was very nice and clean. Shower was nice and hot & staff were friendly and helpful. Close to airport...maybe a 10 minute drive but watch out for taxi drivers who are good at ripping you off! Make sure you check with the driver first that he has a meter and tell him you want it ON! Do not go in the private hire taxi's as for some reason, they are not required to have meters even though Fiji supposedly has a new law requiring meters! Rate includes breakfast and coffee or tea - not your choice or a menu but is pretty good. There was a menu for dinner but some of the items they didn't have. Not on the beach but a short, close walk. Nice outdoor seating areas & a small bar.

Newtown Beach Motel is an excellent place to stay in Nadi before heading out to the nearby islands or for staying overnight before a flight from Nadi's International Airport.
I have stayed there 5 times in the past 4 years and have always been impressed with my sparkling clean room, excellent security and peaceful surroundings. There is an attractive small pool with pretty gardens and a good viewing deck to look out to the bay at sunset time.
This accommodation is probably best suited to older travellers or to backpackers who want to escape the party scene for a while and have a good night's sleep.
Just down the road are the action spots of Smuggler's Cove and Horizon Beach Backpackers so you can enjoy bars and entertainment there but return to serenity!
The prices are very reasonable -check on the internet for the latest rates - and as someone who loves their showers the water is always hot!
