This is really just a surfer's or diver's resort. It is a long way out and once there you're not really going anywhere. We surfed everyday, (two of us) at 100 FJ per trip. This is an average (fair) price for fiji. Our room was basic but clean and well screened.
The food was terrible. I'm not being a snob.. it was really really bad. Breakfast was ok. Toasted chicken sandwiches were full of gristle (and i mean full), dinner was fetticine which was well undercooked.., fish curry was awful.. seriously.. whatever was cooked.. it was bad. ## note they have an equipped guests kitchen available.. so we went into Nadi and bought food to cook. (they have cryovac steak and fish, tinned food etc in the supermarket in Nadi, buy it on the way from the airport ;-). So if you are willing to do that it is a nice enough budget place. Staff were really nice and we hung out with some other cool guests. (..surf was awesome!! FYI only goto cloudbreak if you are a good surfer.. I saw some scared people who should never have been out there) It's a real shame about the food. I read some other reviews before I left which mentioned BBQs etc. No sign of any of that. maybe it was the low season. Be warned if you go there you can A).surf.or B). relax..(read, lie around) I wouldn't take your girl or family. (there is no beach)

“Great holiday”

Rendezvous is great value for money the staff are friendly and it is very well situated in regards to all the breaks.We would arrange a time to go out and our breakfast would be ready about 45 mins before our boat ride was due.When we booked our week stay we arranged 7 boat trips at a very reasonable price.The boat captain Kinni was always on time, very knowledgeable, loved a laugh and would take us to various breaks while out.When we got back a big lunch would always be ready and dinner later at night. We are all big eaters and were never hungry,the bbq's they put on are great. I've had nothing but good words to say about Rendezvous and as a result a lot of people are interested in staying there.If you are looking for a great relaxing value for money surfing holiday you can't beat Rendezvous.

Nice people, nice fun, nice place!!!
I've been there twice and I really enjoyed the stay twice!

Room Tip: You should check does the room have a fun or air condition before book it cuz some of them don't...

“Great Staff! Good Location, Poor management”

I stayed here with 5 other surfers, staff was great we were expecting hostel living and the accommodations were fine and the food was great! It is a 30 minute boat ride to breaks from the hostel.

The biggest problem we had was they charge sooo much for boat trips.The website listed 70 Fijian dollars per person. When we arrived they moved that amount to $110 Fijian, even if you had 10 people! They were making $1000.00 Fijian per boat trip and that was for only one trip per day. The costs was exactly the same if you did two boat trips per day, no discounts even if you were a big group going out twice in the day. When you add it up, We were paying $120 dollars US for two boat trips a day, add that to your budget if you plan to stay here.

Everything else was fine, great guides for surf, awesome food, safe. No beach or things near by so be prepared for a lack of activities if you don't surf or dive.

There was an increase in the fuel price in Fiji three times that is why our boat price went up. One month later the fuel price went down. Our new price is $100Fj per Person for 4hours on surfing trip. We do two surfing trips in a day; if you do the morning trip 4 hours you pay $100fj if you decide to go again on the afternoon trip for another 4 hours you pay also $100Fj.

Great place for a Fijian scape!! the best value around for a Budget surf & Dive trip to Fiji!! The Surf and Dive are worldclass if not the best place in the whole world!!!,
The place is very relaxing and the staff is friendly hard working and just great!!

They always make sure we '' the guests'' are having a good Fijian Time!! Great Atmosphere, fresh mangoes , coconuts , fish and the food will make sure it will be an unfourgetable experience!! I reckon is one of the best surf spots I've been in my life , the weather is great and just the vibe that surround the island cant be compared to anywhere else!!! I forgot to mention the great Kava parties and live fijian music!! Loved it!!
