PP is a nice hotel in a nice area of Montevideo. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable and staff pleasant and helpful... Though more often than not they did not bother to look up from their computers when you walked in or out the front door. There are several good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

I recently returned from a 4 night stay at the Pocitos Plaza. I went there with my parents and 3 month old son. Without exception, all the staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Anything we asked for was organised instantly.

The free buffet breakfast was a great start to the day and included tea/coffee, crossants, toast, fruit, cold meats and yoghurts and cakes. There was also a Business centre with free 24 hour internet access.

We stayed on the 8th floor and had two large rooms with king size beds, that were clean and comfortable. My only suggestion would be that it might be better asking for a room that is not facing the street as there are alot of car alarms that seem to go off throught the night.

Great location- in the newer area of town. Nice shops and restaurents nearby and close enough to get a bus or taxi to the town centre. I felt safe walking around in the evening with my baby. Would definately stay there again.

Enjoy the most unfriendly service you'll ever encounter. Have items you did not order tacked on to your bill, especially if you don't speak espanol. (I do, they did not know, and I caught them.) I go to Montevideo often, I'd sleep on the beach in the sand before I stay here again. Give it a never!

Pacitos was a gem of a hotel. Nothing fancy but a very clean hotel, extremely helpful staff, great underground parking and a bed and room that allowed me to sleep comfortably every night of my stay.

After staying at Pacitos, I felt refreshed, revived and well-rested.

The calming Ramble is within minutes of the hotel. Great location if you don't mind being away from the center of the city.

To the staff o the Pocitos: Keep doing what you are doing!!
