The hotel is well located in the middle of downtown but does not meet what I expect from 4 star hotels. Bed clothings are old an stained, although I'm sure they are washed. Wireless from the rooms seldom worked and was told every day they were working in it; somewhat better un the lobby. Don't stay here if you need a good Internet connection to get work done.

The staff is very polite and welkoming, like most of the Uruguaians
The room is very clean, cozy (queen size bed and silent heater) and have good space. Unfortunately the shower in my room had that kind of leaking of cold water that drops toguether with the hot water, very annoing.
Breakfeast: plenty of good dairy products, medium quality coffee, almost no fruits (just a fruit salad).
There are some restaurants nearby the hotel, I went to El Fogon and liked.
One can go to the Ciudad Vieja in a walk of 15 minutes, the best way is through the Av. 18 de Julio. In this avenue there are some nice clothes stores and plazas.

OBS.: In my way home, when I was already in the taxicab there was one staff that rushed to hand me a shirt that forgot in the room. Very nice of her ;-)

Even though I was told that the hotels in Montevideo are not the best, when I decided to go to this hotel I believed that its 4 stars would mean something, but no. My room was small, the tv was very old and small and the sheets were old. The room was clean. People in the front desk are not kind. The breakfeast is ok. I do not recommend this hotel. I would recommend people pay a little bit more and go to NH or others in Punta Carretas.

The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious with tiny twin beds which I despised. I noticed other rooms had queen beds, but it was not offered to me. The maid was very kind and helpful. The bathroom was clean and nice. The internet would not work I complained on a Friday, on Saturday, on Sunday, on Monday I gave up...the hotel NEVER fixed it. The reception was very unhelpful with no information to offer. Some even bordered on pure rude, there were very few smiles. The bellhop was always frowning when I showed up for help. I couldn't help wondering if it was racial because I am of East Indian decent. The stay in Montevideo was beautiful because of family friends that took care of me like no one else could. The location is very noisy. I would not stay in this hotel nor recommend it unless you want to put up with rude staff and have a skin tone that suits their liking.
