We stayed there for 3 nights. The hotel is very well located, so you can visit the old city just by walking a few blocks. In addition, there are good restaurants nearby.
The room was clean, comfortable, without noise and with a beautiful view of the Plaza Cagancha. Good bathroom and excellent shower.
Internet access is free. The buffet breakfast was poor for a four stars hotel.
The staff is very helpful and kind. It is a good choice.

Me and my wife stayed there for just 2 nights. The hotel is very well located, at the center of Montevideo, so you can do almost everything just by walking. The rooms are spacios, well cleaned, and without noise. It had also a nice bathroom with a bathtub. People in the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. I reccomend this hotel !

The location of this hotel is perfect. It is very centrally located in the middle of Montevideo. The service of this hotel was ok. Rooms were shabby old fashioned rooms with the aroma of cigarettes. Breakfast was a great disappointment. This hotel is just fine if you stay in Montevideo for a couple of nights. Not for a longer period,

My fiance and I stayed at the Balmoral Plaza and wouldn't do so again. It's very well-located, and the staff was great - really helpful and friendly. The restaurant food is also pretty good.

Unfortunately, the rooms weren't very nice. They looked like maybe in the 80s they'd been decent business hotel rooms, but now they're just down-trodden and sad. There was also a bad smell in the hallway, and the hotel's response was to dump all sorts of industrial cleaners on it, so instead of the original bad smell we had awful soap smell. We much preferred the Sur Hotel nearby - and it was cheaper too!
