We stayed for 2 nights over Christmas. Positives were good location in front of Plaza Independiante, good breakfast on the 25th floor which has a great view, excellent bed and big room. Wifi was complimentary but very slow. We had a Christmas menu which was expensive but the steak was tasteless. Overall, it was an ok experience.

We were on a Vantage tour that had us here for 2 nights. We had an awesome room -- a suie actually. We were right on the plaza, with nearby theatre and strolling streets. We loved Montevideo -- had no idea how nice this place and the country was. We'll be back!

It`s not a 5 stars hotel.More like a 3 stars hotel.Old rooms,noisy windows(first night was a nightmare),few or sometimes only one front desk employee.The breakfast was fair,nothing special.It needs to be updated asap or low the rates!!!
When checking out the front desk employee charged me again for a prepaid suite,if I havent paid attention I would have paid twice!!!
Next visit I`ll go to Sheraton!!!
