I stayed there in a superior room, which supposed
to be the most comfortable kind of room in this hotel;
overall it was a terrible experience and a big
disappointment from the standard of Holiday inn
in Latin America.
it is more like a youth hostel than a hotel for adults,
especially because of the bad maintenance and the
very bad attitude of the staff, also because of the
poor "breakfast" which made me feel like a homeless beggar.
this hotel do not really have an air condition system, it is sort of
a scam, because this is not a regular system, it don't have a
thermostat and you can't make any change to the room temperature
it was extremely hot in the room and the (rude) staff couldn't do anything
about that. usually the windows can not be opened because they are
blocked on purpose (so the "cold" air is kept inside...)
there is not a handy shower, neither a bathtub, just upper
shower (like I used to know in the army) which was old and dirty.
they provide a small solid soap.
I found holes in my blanket.
a few tables in the so called "lobby" are used like
the dining room for the breakfast, so you should come
early to catch a table (although you do not have too much
to put on it...)
the good thing about this hotel is the location, which is
close to the plaza independencia (about 2 min walk)
and free LAN internet.
