We stayed at this property four nights from January 26 to 30, 2012. Having read other reviews which were quite negative, we arrived there with some trepidation. We arrived late in the evening and our initial look around the area seemed pretty unsavory. However, the following day the shops opened and the area appeared much more welcoming. The hotel staff were very approachable and helpful with directions when asked. The room was quite dated (old) but clean and comfortable. Our room had a nice king sized bed and the mini-bar had enough room to store some of our own food and drinks. The room also had a laminate floor which was better (and cleaner) than carpet. We didn't book the breakfast option as it seemed a little pricey, after seeing the breakfast buffet I was happy we had decided to do our own.
There are plenty of interresting things to see and do within walking distance of this hotel as well as numerous restaurants and shops. I would recommend this hotel so long as guests don't mind the older decor. I do not recommend the breakfast option unless it's free of charge.
