I didn't choose this hotel or location as I was on a guided tour of Peru so although Urubamba is in the center of attractions I wouldn't stay here unless it was purely a resting point. There is nothing in the town. I've stayed here twice and the second time I got a corner room and it was a lot bigger than the other room but in both cases they were quite large. The construction happening right now was a bit bothersome though.
No one spoke English and the restaurant was short and poorly staffed. Would not stay again based on service alone. I didn't appreciate arriving back to the hotel at 5:40 to a closed restaurant with no where around to eat. (It was supposed to serve dinner until 6:00). Then I tried to order room service but they didn't speak English so hung up on me! The entire time I was there the only other people there were Japanese tour groups.
