“Beautiful place very relaxing!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

We had a tour by the Sacred Valley, we wanted to explore the area so we check in at this Lodge, we had a nice welcome from the receptionists, they accommodated us in our room which was good, clean with everything we needed, we spend a 3 peaceful nights, in the mornings we had a great breakfast with a fresh orange juice just made it, the coffee too and everything. Also enjoyed the walking around. We really are grateful with staff they were very kind and always willing to help us.

We highly recommend this Lodge to everyone who want to relax and have a great time as we did.

“Very Relaxing and a beautiful sight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 March 2011

I found it very nice, peacefull and quite. The hotel is placed in a very nice and natural admosphere ´cause you feel sorrounded by nature (trees, birds, flowers, mountains and blue sky) it´s a great place to stay and it´s in the middle between Cusco and Machu Picchu! The weather is much better than in Cusco city ´cause it´s more tropical. I´m definately coming back!

“lovely hotel with great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 May 2010

While on an OAT tour to MachuPicchu, we spent 2 nights at this charming hotel in the Sacred Valley. My room was clean and well equiped, yet simple. The bathroom was small but had everthing I needed. The views were awesome - snowy Andes everywhere. The garden was a great place to relax after touring all day.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had friends staying at another local hotel and I had a bit of difficulty calling them. Everyone tried to help and the owner (I think) let me use his cell as the hotel phones were wonky.
Also when I wanted to buy salt from the local mines, one young man kindly got it for me. I asked how much and gave him 5 soles ($1.70) he left and returned with twice as much! It's really good salt, too.
I would recommend this place to friends traveling there.

“Dirty and bug infested”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2009

We were traveling with an OAT Tour group and thought the hotel in Aguas Calientes would be our worst hotel, but we were wrong. (That hotel was actually great). No sooner had we checked in did we see insects of various types--gnats, fleas, spiders, and many other unknown species. I tried to kill as many as I could with toilet paper but soon realized it would take more than that. I tried to explain to the staff what I needed, but it took a while with the language barrier. Finally someone brought a can of spray and sprayed around the nightstand and left. The bugs kept coming even more so we asked to keep the spray ourselves. We moved both beds and were shocked at the dirt beneath them. We sprayed every inch of the room and finally managed to kill all the bugs. I used wet toilet paper to wipe off the nightstand and the paper turend black, that's how filthy it was. We were told to expect a primitive hotel so I was not bothered by the lack of TV, etc., but I think clean rooms are a must. Even one of the public areas was full of cobwebs. I guess these people fell no need to clean. Not all of the rooms were as buggy as ours was--we had room 113. We could not get into another room as the entire hotel was booked.
