“Wonderful hosts in the Sacred Valley”

Our wonderful hosts Jim and Antuca Rogers were so hospitable. Breakfast is included in the rate and is different and delicious every morning (ie: pancakes, cereal/fruit/yogurt, porridge, etc). Dinner is also available for a reasonable price. Jim speaks English and also acts as a wonderful tour guide. Also arranged transportaion for us from/to Cusco. We stayed in a lovely suite which had a wonderful view of the valley, a large seating area and good size bathroom...lots of hot water. We would definitely recommend this wonderful bed and breakfast to anyone.

“Just a Great Place!”

I loved this B&B. We were on a mostly package tour staying in 3 and 4 star hotels so I was a little wary of a bed and breakfast in a 3rd world country. Boy was I wrong! This place was amazing! The views reminded me so much of the canyonlands of Utah, and the place was just beautiful, warm and comfortable. The food was delicious. And since I had been very, very sick earlier in the trip it was such a relief to know the meals were being made with such careful attention to the vulnerable American stomach. I ate well, and felt happy and relieved to know the food was safe. It was great too because you get more than just breakfast! I wholeheartedly recommend this terrific experience.

  • Liked — The views, the gorgeous courtyard, the food!
  • Disliked — The town of Urubamba is a little on the rustic side.
  • Tips/Secrets — The host can take you on all kinds of trips around the area, great general travel agent.

“Wonderful experience”

Our family of four stayed at Quinta Patawasi for two days in August and was treated to the warm hospitality of Jim Rogers. Quinta Patawasi is centrally located in the Sacred Valley in the town of Urubamba and three minutes away from the train to Machu Picchu. Our room was clean, comfortable and charmingly decorated with local handicrafts. We woke up each morning to a wonderful home cooked breakfast. Jim gave us two amazing days of personal tours of the Sacred Valley and even managed to take us to a colourful local festival in a small town (not on the itinerary). He also gave us help and guidance with other details of our trip. I feel we experienced a side of Peru that not many tourists get to see. Jim made our trip very special and we highly recommend staying at Quinta Patawasi Bed & Breakfast.

“Highly Recommended”

Jim Rogers at Quinta Patawasi treated us like family and gave us an insiders experience in the Sacred Valley that made us feel like locals. We didn't just stay at his place, we were hosted during our entire trip as though we had paid for a custom tour. He gave his tips on places to go, guides to use, transportation options and people to meet. His accomodations are clean and charming, his Pisco Sours are the best and his prices are low making this one of better deals in the Sacred Valley. Besides his warmth and generosity, he offers insight into the struggles and triumphs of the local Peruvian culture. We'll never forget the place or the experience.
