“Tuscany in Sacred Valley”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2010

although we were part of a packaged tour, were impressed by the location and cozyness of the hotel. We were tired when we arrived at night and had one of the best meals of the trip, and the next morning woke up and opened the window and it was like I was back in a Tuscan countryside. We walked to the Sunday Pisac market and the hotel clerk sent us the taxi to take us back to the hotel. The staff were always available, brought us the hot water we asked, as well as they replaced the dryer immediately. If one day I go back to the Sacred Valley, this is the place I will book.

“advantageous location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2010

The hotel is quite close to the main town. It is in a really beautiful valley amongst the mountains. The view from the restaurant where the breakfast is very striking. As for the rooms, they are fairly basic. Wifi is free in the rooms and the beds are large and comfortable. The bathrooms are very dated and not that inviting. The hotel has very colourful gardens. It is perfect for a one or two day stay and compared to a lot of hotels in Peru is good quality. The breakfast is a decent western buffet. The hotel is clearly catering for western tourists. It was a pleasant stay, would recommend.

“Unique place to stay for a couple of relaxing days.”

Nice clean and comfortable rooms. However, we would have appreciated it if drinking water would have been available after the bar was closed. Our friends had run out of drinking water and wanted to buy some. When they went to Reception they were told that the bar was closed and no water could be purchased until the following morning. This is a bit odd, considering they had already told us not to drink the water from the tap as it´s not safe.

“Hidden Gem Close to Pisaq”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2010

After reading the reviews on here prior to my trip I didn't know what to expect. To say the least, this hotel complex doubly-exceeded all my expectations. I mentioned "complex" because this place is more like a resort with an olympic-size swimming pool across the street, well-kept gardens throughout, a beautiful small water fountain, lots for walkways through the gardens, a small greenhouse, a quaint historical chapel on site, and a beautiful appointed lobby with a real wood-burning fireplace. This place has a total Peruvian flavor just outside of Pisaq. (You can walk to Pisaq in 15-minutes walk but do bring a flashlight if you're walking at night as it is pitch dark with a million stars in the sky.) I had a room on the second floor (no elevator) that had an entry way, a small bathroom to the left, and another entry door going into the bedroom (one queen-sized bed which was comfortable). The bedroom, although not huge, was very clean and the sheets and pillow cases were clean and fresh. There was also a TV and phone. Breakfast was plentiful with cooked to order eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, cereal, juices, and many other items. The dining room was beautiful and sunny. You also must explore the grounds set in rural setting with beautiful mountain scenery in every direction. You feel like you're staying at a million-dollar hacienda. Yes, they do nickel and dime you with the amenities, but they offer so many -- such as a spa and massage being offered on the grounds, a sauna, pool table and other games, and internet. The place is also quiet and peaceful at night. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it.

“Physically Nice, Staff Needs Work”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2010

The place itself was nice, and the staff were trying, but many were brand new and had trouble with simple tasks. We could not get an itemized receipt from the meals. They put our son in his own room, which was very nice, but then seemed to have forgotten about this and called the room at 6 and 630 AM to find out who was in it. There was confusion regarding our transport back to Cusco and we ended up paying twice for it. They will not reimburse us for this expense and have been very rude and unprofessional in dealing with this. Fine if we are paying a discounted rate to be cared for by trainees, but we sadly were not offered this.
