To be honest the airport area in the north of Lima is not a nice place to be. Don`t expect to find a nice bar or restaurant there as the whole area is under construction.

But if you are only planning to stay only one night in Lima and want to avoid a 1h taxi transfer time to Lima`s upper areas like Miraflores and Barranco, this is the ideal place to stay.

Kike is very reliable and catched as up at the airport where hundreds of taxi driver and tour guides where waiting for new customers. A 10 minute ride and we where at Kikes place. The house is situated in a safe area and looked pretty good The room was very clean, had TV and a comfy bed. Also the shower was working great with hot water. Internet is provided as well as Wifi.

Kike and his wife were superfriendly and prepared a delicious breakfast in the morning and drove us quickly to the airport where we catched up our flight to Cusco.

Our family of 4 adults stayed one night on Dec. 12th. After landing in Lima at 10:45PM, we meandered our way through Immigration and Customs (extremely crowded due to the many flights arriving at the same time). It was after 1AM when we left. Outside the customs area was a huge receiving crowd with about 50 signs being waved and danced about. It took a little bit of time to find Kiike, he had patiently waited almost 3 hours for us! He immediately escorted us to his very clean car and after less than a 10 min ride we arrived at his home. He and his family live on the 2nd floor, and the 2-bedroom B&B is downstairs. It was simple and clean and all that you needed. Miriam prepared a simple but delicious breakfast the next morning and Kiike was there to whisk us to the airport. All in all, a relatively inexpensive (100USD for 2 double rooms including airport transfers and breakfast), convenient way to spend a quick night in Lima (Los Olivos neighborhood). Kiike speaks minimal english but enough to get by.

On our way back to Lima, our flight was cancelled and so we landed in Lima at 9AM with no agenda except to wait for our flight leaving that night at 11PM. As we were standing in the airport bewildered and exhausted, Kiike (whom we had stayed with 2 weeks ago) recognized us and asked if we needed help. We were amazed and desperately in need of a friendly face. He was there to pick up some other folks, but promised to come back in a half hour to help us. And then he did return and we settled on his services of driving us around to the historic district of Lima and Miraflores. Traffic was a nightmare as it was Christmas eve and everyone was out and about buying last minute gifts. He took us to a historic church and we took the catacombs tour (excellent). After 4-1/2 hours of touring (my daughter speaks some Spanish), he left us in Miraflores at our request. He had previously asked for $10/hour, but we tipped him generously for being there when we really needed help. In short, Kiike was a lifesaver!!!

The hosts were warm, welcoming, and professional. The room was quiet, and the breakfast very good. Great option for a night in Lima near the airport. A great deal. My only suggestion would be to add a ceiling fan.

A lovely family that will welcome you, comfortable beds, and included airport pickup and return for an affordable price. A good choice if you want to spend a few hours sleeping between a late night flight and early morning departure at Lima airport. (Some of the other airport choices charge far too much for the transfers). The only problem is the rooster! He lives nearby in the neighborhood, starts at 4 am and continues every 20 or 30 minutes. Now if you have an early flight or don't have trouble sleeping in 20 minute blocks, it's okay. But now you know why Kiki and Miriam smile when you ask for a wake up call, it's the rooster.
