I just happened upon this little inn, while I was visiting the Hotel Inkari across the street. I was in Lima for my wedding, and was looking for a nice little place for my American family (none of whom speaks a word of Spanish) to stay in Lima. It's located right on the Avenida Ejercito. From the outside, the Francia Inn is very unassuming and would not catch your eye if you drove by; but, step inside the lobby and it is really quite beautiful (sort of a modern architecture combined with a Japanese style). A nice little garden with a spic and span clean pool. The rooms are clean, with the best stocked mini-bar I have ever seen. Bathrooms are en suite with every room, and hot water is reliable. Free pick-up and drop-off to the airport is included with the price of your room. There is a restaurant in the Francia Inn; which serves three meals daily. Continental breakfast is free. Eggs, omelettes, and other breakfast items are also available for a modest price (average $2.00 USD). You are just four blocks away from a very pretty park with a beautiful view of the Pacific ocean. Right across the street from the motel is a nice little store where you can purchase bottled water or other items, but it also serves meals, and is a bakery as well...my family members enjoyed getting a cup of cafe con leche to go with their freshly baked bread (cafe con leche and freshly baked bread for four people cost a whopping $2.00 USD TOTAL!!!). There is a pharmacy just 2 blocks away, and a very impressive restaurant, La Granga de Abuelo, across from the pharmacy. The staff at the Francia Inn speak Spanish, and were very attentive to my family (my parents are both in their 60's). My parents both loved this little inn. And the cost for a double room is just $40 USD per night. I would enthusiastically recommend this motel to anyone travelling to Lima.
