I think my title says it all...
Hotel appears to be a beautiful converted mansion. It has a restaurant that serves breakfast officially 8-10, but they were very gracious about serving earlier or later than that if you requested it. They had a hotel bar that never seemed to be open, but that too seemed to be readily available if you requested it. I found the service to be excellent the hotel staff to be gracious and professional throughout our stay.
There is a good sized, considering it's a small hotel, business center that I had no trouble using and the hotel offers free wireless access. One problem is that the access doesn't work well beyond the lobby, so my husband and I would be attempting various contortions trying to get the in-room access we needed.
My major issue was the shower. The shower is in a bathroom in the room that is walled off, but the walls only reach to 1 m below the ceiling. The shower itself, by painful trial, would produce only cold water unless you knew to use the right knob (neither is marked) completely all the way and wait 10 minutes -- then you can get slightly warm water. I had colleagues in two other rooms who experienced similar difficulties.
I stayed here on business along with my husband. The hotel is on a very nice little cul-de-sac near downtown Lima. I had business nearby and was able to walk there from the hotel's location. One problem is that there is no other nice places to easily walk to from there, so going to dinner requires calling cab to travel for what is, inevitably in LIma traffic, 40 minutes and then taking another cab back after dinner for a similar amount of time. (Take one of the cards at the desk that shows where the hotel is so that the cab you take to return can find the way back to the hotel.)
