“Non-party Hostel.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

3 blocks from Miraflores Doubletree. Confusing at arrival since there are No signs up-front; only a big walled door with a buzzer. Arrived at midnight. My first hostel stay since the early 80s when I was in my 20s. Stayed only because My wife & I could not get a decent hotel price due to Dakar Race. Other than shared bathroom (they have a mens and a women's on each floor) I was impressed especially the price. Wow. $30 for a clean private bedroom. Bfast was coffee, oj, & bread+jam. Good walking location. Kind of queasy about storage locker, but today's ATM are easy so much cash isn't carried. I felt like I was camping. As far as Hostels go, this a good one.

“Watch your valuables!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2011

I was just in this hostel 1 day and after going to the bank put my money belt in a personal safe/locker in a locked room behind front desk. The only people that had keys were myself and staff. When I retrived it 3 hours later I had been fleeced 2-$100 sol notes,1-$20US and 1-$500 colombian peso note!! When I inquired at the front desk the staff was very illusive and refused to call police. When other travellers heard what happened and checked their belongings a couple had their locked pack(in their locked room) jimmyed and $20euros stolen and a guy had $50US taken out of a bag in his locked room. Since I had to catch a bus that night I was unable to follow it up but will when I get back.

We (young couple) stayed at the Inka Lodge for 4 nights. Everything was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful with directions in the city and about prices. Surroundings are safe and breakfast is simple but good. We recommend it.

“Great Value! Friendly Staff! Better than some of the top-rated hostels!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2011

We stayed our first night at Kaminu (which was a great disappointment)...we were so happy when we made it to Inka Lodge. The staff in the front desk were so helpful and friendly. We're backpacking w/ kids and this place is def. child friendly. They have a kitchen were you can store snacks/food. The rooms are very clean. We are staying in a room w/ four bunkbeds and sharing bathrooms. We have wifi in the room and there are computers to use in the lobby. For $6/piece this place is an awesome deal. Overall, it's quiet and guests seem very considerate of one another! It's on a busy street but the noise doesn't really bother us. I highly recommend!

“BEWARE: UNSAFE PLACE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2010

A total amount of US$ 900 was stoled from me at two recent stays at the Inka Lodge. When I was out, someone entered in my private room, violated the locker of my bag and took part of the money that was inside.
It important to register that this ocurred in two short stays at the Inka Lodge, separated from each other bya a period of one week. First I came to the lodge on Nov 30´2010 and stayed till Dec. 2´2010 . At this time, was stoled the amount of USS 400. I only noticed it when I left the lodge and I thought I had lost the money. One week after, on Dec. 09, I came back to the hostal. I lefted US$ 1100 locked inside my bag and when I checked the money two days after, threre was only US$ 600: as the US$ 400 of my fistr stay,US$ 500 had been stolen. Then I noticed the violation of the locker of my bag.
